After each show, a "pitch meeting" is held, in which every member suggests two potential songs for the next show, and the group deliberates until a few are chosen. Limitless genres are encompassed by the group's repertoire; they have performed pop, hip-hop, alternative, rock, and country songs.
The chosen songs are
arranged by members of the group over breaks, and taught next Semester by
the Musical Director and Arranger. The arrangements vary in
difficulty, and thus the amount of time spent on each piece is also
unknowable. First, each voice part will learn their piece with the
piano, and after all members have developed a certain confidence, all try it
together and with the soloist. Adjustments of blend, dynamics, etc.
are made at this time. Finally, positioning and/or choreography is
determined and the song is deemed performance-ready.
